Daphne
Named after the nymph Daphne who was transformed into a Laurel tree, this sock has delicate, leaf-like lace panels up the front and rear of the leg.
Knit from the toe upward, this pattern features a flat toe and a purled gusset. The striking lace is just 4 rows long, easy to remember but dramatic in effect.
Instalment three for the Vintage Purls Summer Sock Club 2009.
