CONSTRUCTION
The DAPHNE DRESS is worked from the top down, in the round, beginning at the neckline and shaping with short rows. The rest of the body is then worked in the round in pattern. Sts are bound off in i-cord at the waist, and then picked up again to work the skirt. An applied i-cord is worked along the neckline and the straps are also worked in i-cord. Sleeves are picked up and worked in the round and shaped with short rows and ruffles.

SIZE GUIDE
The DAPHNE DRESS is intended to be worn with a negative ease of approximately 0-5 cm / 0-2” for the bodice, and positive ease along the hips. The sizes are based on a bust circumference of approximately:
71-76 (81-86) 91.5-96.5 (101.5-106.5) 111.5-117 (122-127) 132-137 (142- 147) cm / 28-30 (32-34) 36-38 (40-42) 44-46 (48-50) 52-54, (56-58) inches.

FINISHED GARMENT MEASUREMENTS
BUST: 71 (81) 91.5 (101.5) 111.5 (122) 132 (142) cm / 28 (32) 36 (40) 44 (48) 52 (56) inches finished bust measurement with 12.5-18 cm / 5-7 inches of positive ease built in.
All final measurements for the garment are within the pattern.

SUGGESTED NEEDLES

  • 3.75 mm US 5 circular needles 40, 80/100 cm or size to obtain gauge.
  • 4 mm US 6 circular needles 40, 80/100 cm for the sleeves and neckline. (optional)

SUGGESTED YARN
Sample made in size XS with WATG One Merino (50g, 80 metres/ 87 yards YARN A), and Drops Kidsilk Mohair in Light Lavender (25% Silk, 75% Mohair, 210 metres/229 yards YARN B).

If you find mohair is an issue to wear, I suggest trying Suri Alpaca blend yarn. This fluffier and will create a more halo look in your work.
