Daphne Sweater
Daphne is a lightweight spring sweater which features a cropped scalloped hem which is decorated with lace leaves. This piece is a celebration of spring and the joy we feel seeing the natural world begin to grow for another year.
The sweater is knit from the bottom up with a dropped shoulder construction making this a truly wearable piece for the warmer months.
Instructions for the lace section are both written and charted.
Recommended Needle Sizes:
3.25mm (US Size 3) circular needle for the main body of the garment, or appropriate size to obtain gauge.
2.75 (US Size 2) circular needle or dpns for the neckband and cuffs.
Sizes:
1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8, 9, 10) Sample shown in size 2 on a 32” bust.
Finished bust measurements: 32 (36, 40, 44, 48) (52, 56, 60, 64, 68) inches / 81 (91.5, 101.5, 112, 132) (142, 152.5, 162.5, 172.5) cm.
Recommended ease is 2-6” (5-15cm) of positive ease.
Yarn Requirements: The sample used 2 skeins of Curated Yarn Co Platinum Sock in the Garden Party colourway (75% merino, 25% nylon) (439yds/400m per 100g). The yardage required for each size is: 700 (780, 870, 960, 1140) (1230, 1320, 1500, 1590, 1680) yards 640 (713, 796, 887, 1042) (1125, 1207, 1372, 1454, 1536) meters.
It is possible to knit a longer version of the sweater, however this will affect the yardage required. The yardage required may vary depending on the gauge, always knit a gauge swatch to achieve the desired fit.
