Sleeveless cardigan/sweater vest for 19” slim doll, such as Götz Happy Kidz or Hannah. It may be possible using larger needles and reducing the number of rows between buttonholes to fit American Girl or other doll.
Originally knit using Knit Picks Palette in “Blue,” but other 4-ply/fingering yarn would be suitable. With Palette, the project took 14g. A good project for leftover yarn.
Sweater is knit from the bottom up. The border continues up to the shoulder leaving live stitches on a pin or stitch marker. After the shoulder is joined, the border is knit and simultaneously joined to the back neck by picking up stitches from the back and worked together with a border stitch by K2tog.
