DAPPLE DAWN
Triangular Lace Shawl in Fingering Weight Yarn

Can be made with beads or without - pattern contains instructions for both options. In photos, variegated shawl in Koigu has beads. Solid-colored shawl in Sandnes Garn was made without beads. There are also 2 bind-off options - picot (as shown in sample photos) and plain.

Pattern is chart-based although first 24 setup rows are given in both written and chart form.

Yarn: Koigu KPPPM (color P515) - 4 x 50g skeins (total 700yds / 640m)
OR Sandnes Garn Tynn Merinoull (color 5830) - 4 x 50g balls (total 760yds / 700m)
OR other fingering weight yarn (at least 700yds / 640m)
Needles: 3.5mm (US 4) circular needle (40 inch / 100cm)
Optional: 360 size 6/0 beads (about 40g) and 0.60mm (US 12) steel crochet hook (can possibly use slightly larger hook but keep in mind that hook size is based on bead size not yarn weight - i.e. bead must be able to fit onto shaft of hook)
Gauge: 18-20 sts = 4 inches (10cm) in lace pattern after blocking. For reference, unblocked stocking stitch gauge is about 24 sts = 4 inches (10cm) on 3.5mm (US 4) needles (gauge is not too crucial but a different gauge can affect the quantity of yarn required and the finished size of the shawl)

Suggested Dimensions After Blocking
Width across top - 58 inches (147cm)
Depth along center - 28 inches (71cm)
Diagonal Edges - 40.5 inches (103cm) each
