1350 size 8/0 beads are needed for the sock weight version of the pattern and 2050 size 8/0 or 9/0 beads are needed for the lace weight version of the pattern.

The pattern was created in the wee hours of the morning, hence the name. I wanted to create an asymmetrical pattern in which all of the separate pieces would work together but could also work alone. These five pieces of lace all work together as one scarf, but could also be combined in many different ways to create entirely original scarves. In the design section at the end of the pattern I listed ten different scarves possibilities, without any effort – add the beads and you would have ten more! Knit this scarf with the beads or without – it will still be beautiful!

The pattern is written for two weights of yarn, both with beads, one knit with Sock weight yarn and the other with Lace weight yarn. Pattern is primarily charted with bead placements indicated on the chart. Transition rows are a combination of written and charted. There is a link to information on beading techniques included in the pattern.
