Here is a charted pattern for mittens that has the same pattern on the front and the back thus making it so there is no designated left or right. Just make 2 of the same and you have a pair. There are 3 charts to knit in the pattern: the cuff, the main mitten body, and the gusset/thumb. I used double pointed needle in size 2 and 1 for this project. I also used a set of 5 inch size 2 double pointed needles for the thumb. You can used your regular length needles to make it, but I find it easier to use the shorter ones for the thumb.
