Description: Darley’s top down romper and hat - P279

ROMPER
Romper is knitted from the top down in one piece, yoke and body are worked in st st. Romper has a back opening then joined to work in the round down to the Divide for the Sleeves. Sleeve stitches are placed on hold, or scrap yarn, the body of the romper is worked in the round to the split at top of leg.
Front and Back are then worked flat. Suitable for the Advanced Beginner /Intermediate knitter.

HAT
This cute little hat will have your baby feeling ready for the Easter egg hunt. A simple design that works with many of my patterns.

Glenheavenknits – Luxury – Sport Weight – 70% Australian/NZ Fine Virgin Merino, 20% Silk, 10% Cashmere, (Shrink resistant). 280 m (306 yds) per 100 gram hank. Colour Peppercorn.
A -- 95 grams -- 266 metres -- 291 yards – x 1 hank
B -- 120 grams -- 336 metres -- 368 yards – x 2 hanks
C -- 140 grams -- 392 metres -- 429 yards – x 2 hanks
D -- 145 grams – 406 metres -- 444 yards – x 2 hanks

TENSION
24 sts x 30 rows = 10 cm / 4 in worked in st st with 3.5 mm (US 4) needles.

3.25 mm (US 3 : UK 10) circular needle, 41 cm
(16 in).
3.25 mm (US 3 : UK 10) double pointed needles.
3.5 mm (US 4) circular needle, 41 cm (16 in).
3.5 mm (US 4) double pointed needles.

YARN REQUIREMENTS
Valley Yarns – Valley Superwash Sport/ 100% Extrafine superwash merino wool. 140 m / 153 yds per 50 gram ball.
A -- 35 grams -- 98 metres -- 108 yards approx.
