Darling Blankie
I will happily gift this pattern to those, who would like to knit this blanket for charity. Please, send me a message! (and tell me what/who you are supporting!)
This really sweet lace blanket will be a piece that’s treasured! Pattern includes chart as well as written instructions.
The pattern is written for a square blanket, knit in DK weight yarn it will result in approx 27” square. It is very easy to adjust the size though, making it smaller, bigger, wider or longer. You can use any yarn from fingering to worsted, adjusting size of your needles accordingly.
I recommend using 2 stitch markers to mark edge stitches, so you don’t pass them on the wrong side rows. Some knitters would mark pattern repeats, too, in which case you will need 11 markers (or more if you are doing more pattern repeats).
The pattern is an easy to read lace and usually after knitting first couple repeats it flows fairly easy. It does not use any complex stitches.
You will need to do left/right leaning decreases, double decreases, yarn overs, knit and purl, but it requires some concentration. I would recommend it for someone who has knit lace before.
This pattern has been test-knit by a fantastic test group with help of FPT for both - written and charted instructions - you can find testing thread here. I would also like to thank guarionex for helping me with the editing!
