Daruma doll
Daruma are Japanese lucky charms. They can be used to wish good luck, health, wealth and many things (personally, I also use it as a pin holder ). They can come in many colors and will make adorable handmade gifts to wish your loved ones the best. In addition to the crochet pattern, you will find in this PDF more details on the various colors meanings and some examples of kanji (Japanese ideograms) to embroider on the daruma’s belly.
This is a crochet tutorial (PDF-file of 11 pages) with written instructions and step-by-step photos.
