Darumaka is approximately 8cm, their body is 6.5cm in width, 12cm in with from fingertip to fingertip.

Weight: 32g (this includes all materials used to make Darumaka. To give you some perspective, the yarn I use comes in 100g balls, which means you will not need a lot of each colour)

• 2mm hook

• Stylecraft Special DK in Tomato, Spice and Citrus (Shiny: Fondant, Saffron, and Lemon)

• 6mm black safety eyes

• White felt

• Toy filling

• Pins to place pieces before sewing together

• Needle

• Stitch markers (I prefer using scrap yarn as “stitch markers”)

• Fibres in black, white, orange and yellow for needle felting*

• Needle felting tool*

• Please note that I have used needle felting to create the various details around Darumaka’s face and body. Needle felting is still something I don’t feel comfortable ‘teaching’. I’m still just winging it! So I will not be including instructions on how to do this. A quick google search will give you plenty of instructions from actual experts. Or, you may want to look into alternative ways of creating the these details.
