I grew up in Darwin, the northernmost capital city in Australia. Darwin is a beautiful and laidback place to live, but its tropical locale means it is usually hot and humid.

With only two seasons, the dry and the wet, hand-knitted socks may only be useful in Darwin for a short period of time, but these light and airy socks perfectly reflect the Darwin lifestyle!

Pick your favourite sock yarn, embrace the bright colours and start knitting!

As with all the other patterns in my Australian City Sock Collection, there are cuff and heel options so you can build your perfect sock, and this pattern includes instructions for a fun textured Heel and Toe.

This pattern is great in any type of sock yarn, including tonal, variegated or speckled yarn! I hope you have as much fun knitting these up as I did.

I hope this pattern inspires a love of knitting patterned socks and inspires you to make many pairs of hole-y socks.

This pattern has been tech edited and fully tested. I warmly welcome and feedback or questions about the pattern.

Happy making!

Kath xx
