Dashing Stripes Shawl
Dashing Stripes Shawl by Jenny GL is a recipe for your new favorite accessory to make and wear. First, Tunisian crochet lends itself well to a striped pattern in multiple colors since you don’t have to turn your work, and you always change colors on the same side. Next, add in some clever yet simple yarn overs to the texture of the stitches, which creates a pattern that is both relaxing and fun. Mix in the softness of the baby alpaca yarn to give it that next-to-your-skin softness. Finally, you’re left with a dashing new shawl that you’ll be reaching for again and again.
Dashing Stripes Shawl is a triangular shaped shawl worked in Tunisian Crochet. The shawl begins with Tunisian Simple Stitch and the main color. The second half of the shawl is worked in all three colors and a fun “dash” pattern that is created by passing the yarn over a group of stitches. The triangular shape is formed by increasing at each end and down the center during the Forward Pass of each row.
