English version
The sweater is knitted in the round, top-down, with a circular yoke consisting of stockinette stitch and lace knitting. The sweater is slightly tapered at the waist. There is also lace knitting at the bottom of the body and at the bottom of the sleeves. On the long sleeves, all decreases are made on the last round before the lace pattern at the wrists, creating a slight puff at the bottom of the sleeves.

Use of different yarn than specified in the pattern

Feel free to substitute the specified yarn in the pattern with a different one if it meets the required gauge. Be mindful that the amount of yarn needed may vary if your chosen yarn has a different yardage. It’s advisable to knit a gauge swatch not only to verify the gauge but also to assess the visual qualities of your yarn. This includes checking the fabric’s density or airiness and ensuring that the pattern and any contrasting colors are distinctly visible and aesthetically pleasing.

Gauge

• For stockinette stitch, 25 stitches equal 10 cm/4” in width.
• Similarly, for lace stitch, 25 stitches also measure 10 cm/4” in width.
• The lace pattern in the neck, as shown in “Chart 1 – Neck,” has a height of approximately 3 cm/1.18”.
• The lace pattern featured on the yoke, detailed in “Chart 2 – Yoke,” is around 8 cm/3.15” tall.
• At the bottom of the body, the lace pattern, outlined in “Chart 3 – Body,” is about 5 cm/1.97” in height.
• The lace pattern on the sleeves, as per “Chart 4 – Sleeve,” measures approximately 4 cm/1.57” in height.

Needles

To determine the appropriate needle size for achieving the correct gauge, it’s essential to knit a gauge swatch using both stockinette and lace stitches. For the lace stitch sections, I have used a 3.0 mm/US 2.5 circular needle, and for the stockinette sections, a 3.25 mm/US 3 circular needle. However, you may need to adjust the needle size based on your gauge.
• For the body and yoke: Use a 3.0 mm/US 2.5 circular needle for the lace sections and a 3.25 mm/US 3 circular needle for the stockinette sections. A 60 cm needle length is suitable or opt for an 80 cm length for larger sizes.
• For the sleeves: Employ a 3.0 mm circular needle for the lace sections and a 3.25 mm/US 3 circular needle for the stockinette sections. Knit the sleeves straight (without decreases) until you reach the final round before the lace section. The stockinette part can be worked on a 40 cm needle or use a 60 cm/80 cm length for the magic loop method, or double-pointed needles, depending on your preference.

“Date night topp” er en enkel, men samtidig, vakker og feminin topp.
Den kan nå strikkes med både korte og lange ermer.

Toppen er strikket rundt, ovenfra og ned, og har bærestykke med rundøkinger.Bærestykket består av glattstrikk og et lekkert hullmønster. Det er også hullmønster nederst på bolen og ermene som gjør toppen ekstra feminin og vakker.
