The Davenport Camisole is a lace-knit, well-tailored tank top with applied i-cord edgings and deceptively simple lace details. The sea glass color and wave-like repeats on this camisole are inspired by Davenport Beach in California - a rocky beach with strong waves and some of the most beautiful sea glass.

The camisole is knit from the bottom up in the round for the lace portion based on your waist measurement and then knit back and forth with decreases to shape the top based on your bust measurement. An applied i-cord bind off is knit to neatly join the whole upper border of the camisole. Depending on desired strap style, 1 or 2 i-cords are knit to desired strap length.

Sizes: 1 (2) 3 (4) 5 (6) 7 (8)

Waist circumference: 62 (68) 78 (85) 93 (102) 109 (114) cm / 24.4 (26.9) 30.5 (33.6) 36.6 (40.3) 42.7 (45.0) inches including the intended 0-5 cm / 0-2 inches of negative ease at the waist.

Bust circumference: 74 (84) 94 (102) 110 (119) 126 (131) cm / 28.9 (33.1) 37.0 (40.1) 43.3 (47.0) 49.4 (51.7) inches including the intended 0-5 cm / 0-2 inches of negative ease at the bust.

Note: length of the lace border is 12 cm for all sizes but tank top length is very easily adjustable by knitting further in the stockinette chart given within the pattern.

Gauge:
19 st x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch on 4.0 mm needles, blocked
1 lace chart section (for sizes 1, 3, 5, and 7) (38 st x 38 rows) = 15.5 cm x 12 cm on 4.0 mm needles, blocked
I highly recommend swatching for both stockinette and the lace chart as some testers switched needle sizes between the two.
