The exterior is a stranded color work motif featuring elongated “S” scrolls and intermittent diamonds reminiscent of a vintage, luxurious upholstery fabric. Two contrasting colors of worsted weight yarn are needed for this section.

The lining uses a third converse color, and is knitted with a lace weight mohair and a fingering weight held together. This formulates a surprisingly soft and lofty fabric which serves a dual purpose. It conceals long floats while generating an added layer of warmth.

The deceptively simple construction is one continuous knitted tube that is folded, hemmed and seamed using a three needle bind off. The end result is a winter accessory that’s sure to turn heads in the best possible way.
