Dawn Hills
This unisex blanket uses a simple mix of eyelet increases and decreases to create a wavy design that’s easy and fun to knit. The border is worked as part of the main pattern, so there’s no sewing involved.
Instructions are given for three sizes:
62x62, 79x79, 96x96cm
24.5x24.5, 31x31, 37.5x37.5”
I used Hayfield Baby Bonus DK, which is an easy care acrylic yarn, in White, Plum, Elephant and Dove. You can substitute any colours and yarns of your choice – just be sure to check the tension and yardage carefully.
Yarn quantities:
Small: 100g/280m/306yds of 4 different colours
Medium and Large: 200g/560m/612yds of the first colour and
100g/280m/306yds of the other 3 colours
You will need 4mm needles - straights are fine for the smallest size but you will need circular needles to accommodate all the stitches for the larger sizes.
