Notes
This A-line sweater is knit seamlessly from the top down. Increases and decreases occur within the chevron columns. Work begins with a 16” circular. Switch to longer needles when there are too many
stitches to fit.

Stitch markers are placed between each pattern repeat. Depending on your size, you’ll need between 22-34 markers. Sleeve repeats and body repeats are differentiated also, so you may find it helpful to have different colors of markers.

Yarn Notes
The “MC” or main color refers collectively to the different colorways of KPPPM that make up the body and sleeves of this sweater. The color is changed every four rounds. I used the Russian join method
when switching from one color to the next. I like this method in general, but especially in this project because I didn’t feel the need to change exactly at the very beginning of each round. Because each shade of KPPPM has so many different colors in it, they easily blend into one another and the joins are not noticeable.

In the sample shown, 9 different colorways of KPPPM were used. For each 50-gram hank, I had roughly 3-5 grams left of each. If using the suggested yarn or even a different hand-dye, you could go about choosing colors in a variety of ways. Take note of the total yardage needed for the MC for your size and divide by the number of yards per skein in the yarn you wish to use. Be sure to leave yourself a bit of a buffer, at least 5 grams per colorway, for insurance. You could use a single colorway, two, five, or as
many as you like.

I recommend laying all your colors out together and ordering them in a way that pleases you. Try to look more at value (light/dark) rather than the colors themselves. For my sample, I found it helpful to take black and white photos as I was determining my order so that the value was evenly distributed between all of the colorways. Once you’ve decided the order, place each color into a baggie and assign it a number (1, 2, 3, 4, etc) and always use the colors in this order.
