“Day By Day”

This is a shawl/wrap/scarf pattern using 24 mini skeins each of 20g/ 80m.

Its created in a freeform diamond shape that isn’t completely symmetrical, it uses yarn from each mini skein to create a pattern for each day, that’s rich in texture and slips effortlessly into the next colour/day.

Its designed with advent in mind, creating a section of the piece each day as another skein parcel is opened. If preferred it could be made using all one colour or a sequence of larger amounts of multiple colours.

It may also be finished in a variety of ways, either leaving it in the freeform diamond shape it is made in to throw over a sofa or chair, or wearing it simply folded in half or as I have finished it here, embellished with tassels, folded in half or a third to create a warm, thicker weight scarf, perfect for the winter months ahead after advent itself.

However you decide to create it and with whatever combination of colours or themes, from advent boxes you may have purchased, or just with mini skeins you love, like I have used, I hope it brings you much joy both in the making and wearing.
