This pattern has 3 different charts to make the skulls. They can either be totally crocheted or the decorations can be cross stitched onto the blank skulls. There are directions for both methods. Cross stitching is easier for the more elaborate designs.

The motifs are attached to each other using a long chain that is slip stitched onto each motif.

You will need a tapestry needle or a needle with a large eye to do the cross stitches.

The amount of yarn needed for each motif is 60 yards for the background, 24 yards for the skull and then small hanks for the colored decorations. I used Red Heart Super Saver and Red Heart Soft, but you can use other worsted weight yarn that you have on hand.
