Description: This pattern is knit in the round in a two row repeat that creates a stretchy fabric. This waffle-knit-esque motif creates nostalgic fabric for a classic winter toque. Perfect for a day trip out on a snowy day!

Method: knitting

Skill Level: intermediate/advanced beginner

Yardage: .5 (.75, 1, 1.25) skeins 83 (124, 165, 206) m or 90 (135, 181, 225) yd of Little Lionhead Knit’s superwash BFL heavy worsted aran weight or similar weight yarn.

If you want to add a few inches length to the toque for a slouchy fit, please keep in mind that more yarn will be required.

This yardage does not account for possible pompoms, again, this would require more yardage

Needles: US5 (3.75 mm) and US7 (4.5 mm) circular needles and US7 (4.5 mm) DPNs

Approx. Gauge: 24 sts and 34 rows per 10 cm (4 in), blocked in the motif pattern.

Size 1 (baby), size 2 (child), sizes 3 and 4 are adult

Notions: scissors, tapestry needle, stitch markers
