This is relatively simple repeat pattern, the repeat being within the round, but each round being different. Once the user has completed roughly half the blanket they will be aware of how the diamonds grow and should be able to increase the size if they wish. Alternatively they could finish at round 14 and make a blanket made of squares or use the pattern for a cushion cover.
