This pattern is my take on a toe up vanilla sock. I have reverse engineered my cuff down socks so that I can knit them toe up with a heel flap and gusset. I wanted to be able to do this so that I can make the most of the yarn that I have.

5 Sizes in the pattern: To fit a 19 - 21 ( 21 - 23 ; 23 - 25 ; 25 - 27 ) cm foot circumference

Instructions and video tutorials included in this pattern to knit the socks in one colour as well as a contrast heel – as it is a little different.

Supplies List:
Yarn : 400 – 440 meters of fingering weight yarn. Sample knit in: EsTeresa Yarn Creations on their Donna base which is a 4 ply 20% Kid Mohair, 25% Nylon and 55% Superwash Wool blend and has 440 meters per 110g of yarn.

Needles : US 1/ 2.25mm & US3/ 3.25mm (to bind off loosely) - Your choice: DPN’S, Magic Loop using a 32” cable, 9” circulars. Pattern is not written for a specific way of working in the round.

Notions : 4 x Stitch Markers, Lightbulb markers, Tapestry needle for weaving in ends.

Gauge : 34 stitches x 48 rounds = 10 x 10cm in Stocking Stitch

DB Toe Up Socks V1 - this is the first version of the pattern where the heel has more stitches that a traditional cuff down sock. I have improved the heel technique so that it truly represent a cuff down sock. I decided to leave the 1st version pdf on the listing as I do have customers that commented that the bigger heel fits them much better that the traditional cuff down version.

DB Toe Up Socks V2 - this is the second version of the pattern where the heel has exactly the same amount of space and stitches as a traditional cuff down heel flap and gusset sock. This pattern version has its own video tutorials included to assist you in the techniques used in this pattern.
