ABOUT:
This simple blanket was created out of necessity. I needed another way to use up all my yarn scraps and advent mini skeins that had slowly been encompassing a giant basket in my loft.

I wanted to crochet a blanket that would use up lots of yarn, but one that wouldn’t require any thought or counting or
figuring out if I’m inserting my hook into the right stitch at the beginning or end of a row.

Out of necessity was this scrappy-style blanket pattern born and it meets all my needs. I’m so happy to share the pattern with you!!

SIZE:
My sample blanket made with fingering weight yarn scraps measures 38” (96.5 cm) x 60” (152 cm).

YARN:
500 g of any fingering or sock-weight yarn scraps and leftover mini skeins will work great for this project. If you decide to use a heavier-weight yarn, you will end up with a larger blanket.

NOTIONS:
Progress keeper or clip-on style st marker to indicate RS of work.
Scissors

HOOK:
I/9 (5.5 mm) crochet hook

GAUGE:
15 dc + 8 rows of dc = 4” (10 cm) on size I/9 (5.5 mm) crochet hook OR size hook you need to obtain gauge in double crochet (blocked).
