Dead Birds Can’t Fly
I was inspired by mother nature, the dead birds that I find in my dye garden, a beautiful book by Margaret Wise Brown, and the work of many talented artist friends.
Dead birds were often found on Victorian Christmas cards.
Similar to the death tarot card, a dead bird is a symbol of a fresh start from an end and not simply an end. It can mark the end to search and struggle. Overall, a dead bird symbolizes a new beginning is just around the corner.
