Recently I was challenged to create Tom Riddle Diary. I specially wanted the gold details in the corners of Tom’s Diary. So after several attempt Dear Diary was born!

My notebook’s cover uses two types of crafts, crochet and knooking. The later is knitting but with a special crochet hook. But you can use your knitting needles for this project as well.

You’ll also need three types of hooks:
Crochet hooks 2 mm and 2.5 mm
For the rib a 2 mm knooking hook or knitting needles

You can use any 4 ply yarn as long as you get the correct gauge.
I’ve done a small gauge using a 2 mm hook, 11 sc and 11 rows = 4 cm x 4 cm.

50g for the main colour should be enough for this cover and don’t forget a tiny bit of shiny thread for the corners!
