SWEATER CONSTRUCTION

• The sweater is worked in the round from the bottom to the underarms, then front and back pieces are divided and worked flat.
• Sleeves are picked up around the armhole and knitted in the round down to the cuff.
• Shoulders are joined by using either Three Needle Bind Off (seamless) or Mattress Stitch (seamed).
• There are built-in purl stitch faux seams at each side of the body and in the sleeves that can be left as they are or seamed.

CHOOSING A SIZE

The pattern has a positive ease of 15-20cm/6-8” built in around the bust, meaning the finished sweater will be that much bigger than your actual bust circumference. Measure your bust circumference, add the ease amount, and choose the size that is closer to that number. If you are indecisive between two sizes, choose bigger size if you want a gently oversized fit.

MATERIALS

The white sample sweater is knitted in 2 strands of Cashmere Caverns Sock from Explorer Knits & Fibers in Duomo colorway. If using this yarn, you will need a total of 5 (5, 6, 6, 7)(7, 8, 9, 9) skeins.

The pink variegated sample sweater is knitted in 1 strand of Cashmere Caverns Sock from Explorer Knits & Fibers in Joshua Tree colorway held with 1 strand of Mohair Lace from Gregoria Fibers.

The aqua green sample sweater is knitted in 1 strand of Cashmere Caverns Sock from Explorer Knits & Fibers in Trastevere colorway held with 1 strand of Soft Silk Mohair from Knitting For Olive in Dusty Artichoke colorway.

YARDAGE

You may also use 1 strand of DK yarn or hold 1 fingering with another lace (e.g. silk mohair) yarn. The approximate yardage for EACH fingering/lace/DK yarn is:

934 (1034, 1150, 1264, 1356)(1483, 1607, 1751, 1862) yards

So if you are holding 2 strands, the total yardage you will use is approximately X 2 the above yardage.
