A chemo hat should be pretty, and above
all, comfortable. This hat is made with
bourette silk. Untreated natural silk is soft
and comfortable with reported soothing
qualities to the skin. It is definitely a way to
show love to a cherished friend.
This hat has no internal seams and features
slits to weave a scarf through to adjust fit as
needed. The length fits over the top of the
ear and leaves the earlobes showing for
pretty earrings. There is no need to use silk,
however the scalp of chemo patients can be
very sensitive. It is important to use no
animal fibers.
Make a headband by omitting the crown of
the hat.
