The December Vest is a simple sweater vest that is perfect for an extra layer of warmth on cold days. It’s a staple piece for every wardrobe as it provides comfort and versatility to any outfit.

The December Vest is knitted bottom-up in the round, with a folded bottom hem. Once the length is achieved, the front and back panels are worked flat separately to shape the armholes. Stitches will be picked up along the neckline and the armhole, worked in 1 × 1 ribbing. The ribbing is worked in the round and will be bound off using a stretchy bind off.

Sizing

Graded to 9 sizes for 71cm-158cm/ 28”-62” bust sizes.

Unfortunately, I was not able to find test knitters for bust sizes 122cm-158cm/ 48”-62”. If you would like to test knit those sizes, please drop me a message and I’ll send you the pattern for free.

Gauge

14 stitches × 20 rows to measure 10cm × 10cm/ 4” × 4” after wet blocking, knitted flat in stockinette stitch using 7mm needles.

Yarns used

• 1 strand of Spotlight Lollipop (100% acrylic) yarn
• 2 strands of Memo’s Arthouse mohair yarn
• 1 strand of Moda Vera Daisy (41% acrylic, 18% nylon, 12% mohair, 23% glitter, 6% super wash wool) held with 1 strand of Moda Vera Reflection (100% acrylic)
