Deci Scarf
This pattern is a small tribute to a lovely human my family had the honor of knowing—Dr. Deci (pronounced, Dee-see). He was kind, compassionate, and constantly worked to raise up all of those in his sphere of influence.
The scarf’s upward lines (created through slipped stitches) link the many rounds and create a strong support system, while featuring the component colors equally. Work with only one colorway at a time for uncomplicated knitting.
Choose two complimentary skeins of fingering weight—high or low contrast according to your preference. The pattern even includes suggestions if you would like to create a scrappy scarf! OR use your team colors to support your favorite school or cooler-weather sports teams!!!
This scarf is knit in the round, so it is REVERSIBLE! Begin with magic loop (dpns will also work), and continue with magic loop/dpns or switch to a 9” circular.
Finish it off with fringe, if you like, and you’ll have a super-squishy, light-weight yet cozy scarf to warm your neck or spruce up your favorite jacket.
This pattern includes written instructions, as well as video tutorial support. This pattern has been tech edited and test knit.
This pattern is accessible to adventurous beginners as well as to more experienced knitters wanting to explore an uncommon technique.
