Deck the Halls
Deck the Halls is constructed using the Overlay Mosaic Crochet a technique that produces a dense, warm construction which is perfect for blankets, throws, cushions and other home accessories.
The pattern is a not a crochet tutorial and assumes a basic knowledge of crochet, and does not include instructions for a border.
Pattern has no special stitches and is in chart form only. The charts all work together in multiples of 48 stitches so they can be mixed and matched to create anything you choose.
I love a festive design to have a bit of bling so I have embellished with ribbon, seed beads and buttons. The pattern includes a brief description on adding these. but is entirely optional.
Overlay mosaic crochet is fairly straightforward, using only a few basic stitches but if this method is new to you there are plenty of excellent tutorials online to help.
Pattern will work with any weight yarn and corresponding hook size, bear in mind that overlay mosaic crochet looks better with a tighter weave.
Yarn colours should be alternate, MC then a CC.
My finished blanket using my chart order, without border, measures approximately 33 x 48 inches.
I have taken great care to make sure there are no errors in this pattern but it has only been tested by me so please forgive any errors and do contact me if you have any difficulties.
