This hat is knit on double pointed needles (though could probably be knit with magic loop or on a small enough round). It is knit from the top down and therefore it is easy to change the size (just continue to increase the crown until desired size is achieved). By knitting from the top down, it’s easy to adjust the size as you go.

This particular pattern will fit a toddler around 12 months.

Easy to add stripes as the pattern (after the crown shaping) is a 2 row repeat.
