Deco Lace Vest
This pattern is for a top-down linen lace vest, knitted flat in one piece with some unusual techniques to accomplish the feat of not having to cut your yarn. Stitch pattern adapted from “250 Japanese Knitting Stitches: The Original Pattern Bible” by Hitomi Shida, stitch #004.
This vest begins at back neck and is worked to underarm, then stitches are picked up at shoulders and worked down to underarm. Body is worked after fronts and back are joined at underarm.
If you wish to make a cardigan with sleeves, you can use this pattern for the body, and the sleeves from Deco Lace Pullover which are compatible.
The pattern is 19 pages, with charts given for 3 sizes. There are 5 charts for each size, formatted so you can print only the ones you need. If you need an in-between size, you can adjust needle size to obtain the size you want, but the size of the lace repeat means the 3 sizes are as given in the charts.
Of course, you may make it as long as you wish by using more yarn!
This pattern has been professionally tech edited.
