The geometry of this shawl gives the illusion of 3-dimensional ‘steps’, so it looks great in 2 alternating colours, or 6 colours that are progressively darker towards one or both ends, or any number of other variations!

The original (pink and blue) version shown is worked entirely in garter stitch. A modified version is also offered in the pattern, in which the ‘straight’ sections are worked in stockinette stitch, as in the other photos.

Gauge is not critical but will affect the finished size.
