The ultimate in cosy winter sweaters, Deep Raglan features a batwing silhouette, crew neckline and balloon sleeves for extreme comfort.

This sweater is knit in the round as one piece from the top down for zero seaming. The neckline is picked up and knit before being folded to the inside and hand sewn in place.

We recommend lofty, lightweight yarns for drape and softness eg single-ply, mohair, possum-blends, silk-blends or alpaca yarns in 8 ply/DK weight.

Model is approx 34.5 cm / 88cm at the bust and wears size C with approx 12.5” / 32 cm positive ease. Designed to be worn with 2-8” / 5-20 cm ease depending on your personal preference.

Yarn
If using the same yarn as I did, you’ll need 3 (3, 4, 4) (4, 4, 5, 5) balls. Of course, you can choose your own substitution if you prefer.

Note: possum-blend yarn is incredible to wear. It’s lightweight, yet snuggly warm and the use of possum fur helps with pest eradication and the preservation of forests and native wildlife in NZ. The yarn does tend to shed fur while you’re knitting but this will settle down once you’ve washed the finished sweater.
