After investigating a mysterious creature that could appear in different parts of the globe at unheard of speeds, leading marine biologist, Professor Aronnax, joins the hunt. Although, eventually he is captured by the creature. As it turns out, the creature is really a new kind of vessel: a submarine. Despite being kept captive, the professor joyfully spends his time staring out of the porthole of the Nautilus and writes about what he sees.

This infinity scarf is inspired by the story, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea first published in 1870 by Jules Verne. The infinity scarf’s textures represents a view out of the porthole of the Nautilus. The top and bottom shows the rivets that would line the top and bottom of the porthole. The center portion of the scarf reveals a world of seaweed that Professor Aronnax saw as they travelled through the Sargasso Sea.

The infinity scarf is knit circularly from the bottom edge to the top edge. The instructions are charted and written out.
