Deep Winter on the Path - A Traditional Norwegian “Hals”
A Tradtional Norwegian Hals is a neck warmer or a cowl translated to English.
This «hals» design and the motif within it, combine the Native American Cherokee heritage to which I was born and the Norwegian experience in which I live. It tells the story of place, that words simply cannot contain. It reflects the beautiful season of Winter here in Norway and the merging of traditions. Of living a life on a little farm, growing wool, then and now. I am so grateful to share the essence of this piece with you.
This “hals” was specifically designed for and is included free within my Comprehensive Stranded Knitting Course
You can find more information about all of my Traditional Norwegian Knitting Courses via my farm website.
