Deer
by Susie Johns
Deer like to shelter in woodlands and graze on open land nearby. They are herbivores, feeding on grass, stems, berries and wild fruit. The spotted pattern on a deer’s coat provides camouflage by helping it to blend in with the light and shadows in the forest.
