Deer Family
Note: This listing is for a crochet pattern only - it is not the finished dolls!
The Deer Family crochet pattern includes a detailed photo tutorial on how to crochet these adorable deer and their accessories. You will need to know basic crochet and amigurumi skills such as: how to make an invisible single crochet decrease, a magic circle and how crochet in the round. If you wish to make the scarves you will need to have basic knitting skills, otherwise you can either crochet scarves or use a piece of fabric for the scarves. I do not include a tutorial on crocheting the scarves - only the knit scarf is included in this pattern. I have also included photo tutorials on how to embroider the eyelashes, nose and spots.
Size: You can use any size hook as well as yarn size but if you use my recommended yarn and hook size Papa and Mama Deer should be about 6.5” tall (not including antlers) and the Bitty Deer are about 4.5” tall.
You will need:
2.00 mm crochet hook (or hook size of choice)
2.75 mm straight knitting needles (for making scarf)
Yarn of choice in various colors (fuzzy/eyelash yarn is optional to make the tops of the boots fuzzy)
yarn needle
8 - 6mm safety eyes (or size of choice if using worsted weight or larger may need to size up to 9mm+)
stuffing
sewing pins
scissors
This pattern is in .PDF format and is 35 pages of detailed instructions that include plenty of photos for reference to guide you through the process of making your deer.
