Deer Potholder (Mosaic)
This potholder is a great introduction to fully reversible mosaic crochet technique. I love mosaic crochet, but can’t stand dealing with all the cut ends. No fear! This piece is worked continuously, so you only have the starting and ending tails to weave in. I originally designed it because I needed some rustic decor, but it would be great for holidays as well.
The potholder is fully reversible, and the pattern includes a chart, full written instructions, and tutorial section for the reversible continuous mosaic crochet technique. The potholder is worked in rows using the mosaic style, which is a great introduction to colorwork as it consists of only single and double crochets, and you only work with one color at a time.
When choosing yarn for this project, make sure that you use COTTON if you will use it for handling hot objects- acrylics can melt!
