Deerly Beloved Fair Isle Beanie
This beanie is crocheted using the waistcoat stitch - which is the perfect stitch to mimic the look of knitted fair isle work. I’d say this pattern is suitable for intermediate level (or adventurous beginner) crocheters.
The beanie shown was crocheted using 100% merino yarn; I’ve learned that merino and merino blends give the best results when crocheting in waistcoat stitch.
Instructions include pictures to illustrate techniques and a graph of the reindeer pattern if that’s easier for you to follow than the written.
You will need scissors/needle/yarn (the usual) and something with which to make a pompon if you to decide to add one. You should totally add a pompon. They’re awesome.
