This Hat was created in Honor of my Dad, Brian Ress, Who is fighting Lou Gehrig ’s Disease (ALS). I wanted to raise awareness and possibly raise money for the research to someday find a cure. So this hat is very near and dear to my heart. So all the proceeds from this hat will go to the ALS Organization to the search department to help with the research funds.

Materials needed:
Approx. 50 to 130 yards of Worsted Weight Yarn – Color A (Red) Approx. 50 to 70 yards of Worsted Weight Yarn – Color B (Black)
Size 6 or 4.0mm, 16 inch Circular knitting needles for brim of head
Size 8 or 5.0mm, 16 inch Circular knitting needles for the rest of the hat
1 Stitch Marker
Tapestry Needle
Scissors
