Deganwy
Deganwy, is now available to purchase as an individual pattern from Theresa Shingler Knits Ravelry store, it is still available from Making Stories as part of the Making Stories Magazine issue 2.
Deganwy is one of the 11 modern, minimalist patterns featured in Issue 2 of Making Stories Magazine
“The Deganwy jumper is inspired by the traditional fishermen jumpers and ganseys, knitted ubiquitously up and down the coasts of the UK for the men who went to sea by the people who loved them. It was an article of clothing that signified love, connection and belonging.
This jumper is a modern take on a traditional design, this time a top-down easy to wear unisex design, with a dropped shoulder.
It is designed to be worn with 3-4 inches of positive ease and end at mid-hip; the design has a cosy folded neck and relatively narrow arms.” - Theresa
With Making Stories Magazine, we strive to feature companies and makers who focus on sustainability, transparency, fairness and equity in their work. We love telling their stories and hope to inspire and enable crafters to make conscious and informed decisions about the materials they use and the companies they support.
Issue 2 is available through our webshop in print and digital as well as in a subscription, through our Ravelry store as a digital version and selected stockists.
