Als bekennender Nordseefan fließen meine Gedanken und Bilder immer wieder in meine Anleitungen ein. Diesmal dachte ich an einen Spaziergang auf dem Deich - daher der Name Deichlauf. Ich wollte ein Tuch aus einem Strang Dornröschen-Merinowolle stricken, dass auch bequem um den Hals passt und mal nicht so ganz gerade ist. Dabei ist es mir immer wichtig, dieses Tuch von beiden Seiten tragen zu können - es muss von beiden Seiten gleich aussehen.
Ein Blickfang bei diesem Tuch „Deichlauf“ ist ein dicker Zopf und die asymmetrische Form.

As I am an avowed fan of the North Sea, may pattern ideas are often inspired by the sea.
This time I thought of a Walk in the dyke - that’s why this scarf is called „Deichlauf“ what means „walking o the dyke“.
I wanted to knit a scarf from one string of merino wool (Dornröschen Wolle) that comfortably fits around the neck and doesn’t have a regular shape.
Finally it’s always important to me that both sides of a scarf look alike, without having a wrong side.
An eye-catcher of this scarf „Deichlauf“ is a broad cable and the asymmetrical form.
