deima’s rib trousers
when creating deima’s sporty shorts, i got to thinking.. about the times during the winter, where i personally love to wear a pair of woolen trousers. the fit needed to be just right, and the choice of yarn too. that’s how deima’s rib trousers came to be.

the trousers have a high waist, with increases at the front and back in a decorative pattern. they are knitted in a double rib stitch, with german short rows in the back to achieve the optimal fit. they are straight in the legs, but have a bit of a flare when worn.

all in all, super flattering and super cute!

yarn: smart from sandnes, 50 gr. = 100 m.

gauge: 20 stitches x 24 rounds. of 10 cm x 10 cm

needle size: 4.5 mm round needle (40 and 60 cm)

sizes: small (medium) large

yarn consumption: 13 (15) 16 skeins (depending on length of the legs)

alternative yarn: lima from hjertegarn, or misini from lana gatto

measurements:

waist: 76 cm (84 cm) 92 cm

hip: 84 cm (92.5 cm) 109 cm

thigh: 52 cm (60 cm) 78 cm
