Déjà vu Socks for Lazy People
The idea of socks with reversible cables accompanied me for quite some time, but the Scarefest motivated me to put the pattern forward.
So, we have socks, that have the leg and the instep in reversible cables, but also the cuff, heel and toes are reversible. When you put them to the washing machine or take them out, you need not wory about their wrong or wright size. Both sides look very very similar, although an eagle’s eyes can spot tiny differences.
There are three sizes. The pattern unit consists of 10 stitches, so we have 70 stitches for S, 80 for M/L and 90 for XL. 70 stitches might look a lot for S, but reversible cables are les extensible than regular sock fabric.
Any sock yarn can be used, but for better visibility of cables I advise using the yarn which has periods of solid colours accross more than 6 rounds. In photos you can clearly see how cables are pronounced for the white S sock and how hidden they are for tonal blue.
Enjoy knitting and wearing.
I would like to thank sincerely the testers: rosegil, sandysays and wardletech. Without them the pattern would still be a mess.
Errata: For those who downloaded before 20th of September. New, corrected file was uploaded then.
Needle one was called the front leg instead of the back leg. The number of stitches for the heel turn is 35 for S.
