The pattern Deleite by designer Kari-Helene Rane combines a relaxed knitting experience with a feminine, modern look that gives you plenty of freedom. Its unusual shape, with wide, low-cut sleeves and a slightly longer back, envelops you comfortably. The long, tight cuffs in different colours and the delicate stripes of the yoke create exciting contrasts to the overall soft flow. Our yarn Cheeky Merino Joy in the Moods colours Powder, Tea, and Cream makes the knitted piece extra cuddly and creates a beautiful drape.

The design in stockinette stitch is easy to knit but uses some interesting techniques. It is knitted seamlessly from the top down in rounds. The neckline is worked with a provisional cast-on to create a double rib hem, and then the yoke is shaped with the help of increases. The sleeve stitches are placed on hold while the body is being knitted and are continued later. Short rows create a gentle curve at the front neckline and lower hem of the back.

Deleite is part of our first own collection 2020 with the theme Joy. It was conceived by Rosy and realized with a team around the world in times of a global pandemic. The pattern names are joyful expressions from different languages. They remind us that joy, diversity and solidarity across borders can give us hope and strength. Deleite means delight in Portuguese.
