Shawl Royal Blue

The inspiration for this pattern are the famous Royal Blue tiles which are found in many old houses, in the kitchen, around the fireplace or behind the stove. I modernised the patterns by choosing more modern Dutch symbols. The wave pattern in the seam symbolises the relation of the Dutch with the sea and water through the centuries, working in water management this subject is for me very close to home.
