Delhi - Sitter onesie, hooded

the pattern is for a hooded baby romper / bodysuit made to fit a “sitter” - a baby who is already able to sit unassisted - usually 6-12m old.
it is meant to be used as a photo prop, yet it can be also worn with a fitted diaper
(it will not fit over a cloth diaper though)

most of the body is knit in the round - you can use either double pointed needles or a circular needle and magic loop method.

please, make sure you are able to obtain the necessary gauge before you get started - GAUGE IS IMPORTANT!

Gauge: 18 st in 4 in over stockinette stitch

You will need a skein and a half of worsted yarn. if you would like a lighter and daintier BODYSUIT you can use dk or lighter yarn (you just will have to use larger size knitting needles).
You can use any type of yarn. You just have to make sure you get the right gauge (you will need to make a swatch and probably you will have to try several different knitting needle sizes).
Then, you will also need a stitch holder or a piece of scrap yarn and a sewing/darning needle and a stitch marker.
