Delilah's Newborn Headband
Headband for newborn baby with chain or ribbon through eyelets that allow for making it firmer if needed.
Knitted in 5ply or sportweight yarn. I used Bendigo Woollen Mills wool, but any sportweight yarn that meets gauge would work.
The headband can be made larger simply by adding multiples of two stitches to the cast on. Eyelets are knitted for effect and practicality.
Gauge is 10sts per 4cm stockinette stitch.
This is a small item, and does not use much yarn. I did not measure how much was used, but a 50g ball would easily make it with yarn to spare. You will need contrasting colour yarn if you want the chain through the eyelets a complementary colour. Minimal yarn is required for this.
Double pointed needles or very small circulars would be used for this. I used the circulars. Alternatively, the magic loop method could be used.
